How does Physiotherapy work?

We find out what's wrong

The first step of your Physiotherapy treatment is to work out what is your main issue and what you want to achieve from physiotherapy.

We will ask questions to find out how long this has been going on for and information like what makes the issues worse or better is really useful.

Often we can get a really good idea of the main problems from talking to you.

We look at your movement

We'll then ask you to do some movements to check what we think so far is correct and get even more detail on your issues.

Everyone can move in different ways, even if they have the same sort of problem.  Seeing how you're moving to adapt for your issues is key to fixing them.

Once we know how it started and how your compensating because of the issues it is then easy to start fixing them.

We guide you through the fix

We'll give you specific exercises and advice to target your issues.  

You will often notice changes within the first session and these will get better as you continue with the guidance at homw.

During COVID-19 Pandemic, if neccessary, we will offer you a face-to-face session to provide hands-on treatment to help you achieve your goals.
